Beyond mere stretching or exercise too often passed off as yoga in the US or Europe, Debarati conveys the healing wisdom of the ages, of which she is a master, to activate the mind, body, and spirit through clear instruction and lucid exposition of the various poses, breathwork, and visualizations and their bases in the elements, the intentions underneath them.
I left with a profound sense of peace and clarity and the feeling that after more than a decade in various studios, I had finally practiced yoga in its true form.

It was a really beautiful way to start the day, attending this yoga class with Debarati. We did breathwork, a variety of yoga poses; and learned their connection with the elements. She shared with us the philosophy and wisdom of the practice of yoga, which we talked a little more about after the class with some nice refreshments. She is an incredible teacher too and corrected some of my yoga poses, which allowed me to experience them in a way I never had before! If I would have stayed in Kolkata for a longer period of time, I would have loved to become a student in one of her classes she regularly teaches.
